Xavier founded the Company in 1997 and as KidZania's CEO, he leads the Company's overall operation, finance, and concept development. Prior to founding La Ciudad de los Niños/KidZania, Xavier was a Vice President in GE Capital’s Private Equity Group, and a Principal at Booz Allen and Hamilton Mexico. As a BAH management consultant, Xavier worked with a wide range of industrial and consumer product companies, focusing on new product development strategies. Born in 1964, Xavier holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Universidad Anahuac in Mexico City as well as a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University.
Cammie Dunaway joined in October 2010 to serve as CEO for KidZania United States and head of KidZania’s Global Marketing. Cammie previously held worldwide positions at Nintendo of America, Yahoo! and Frito-Lay. Cammie has an MBA from Harvard University and has been the recipient of multiple global marketing awards for her outstanding performance.
Maricruz Arrubarrena serves as the Director of Sponsorships and Social Responsibility. Previous to KidZania, Maricruz helped develop and implement the Credit Management System and the Bank Operation and Housing Finance Fund, where her duties were focused on credit analysis and financial support through commercial banks and Limited Object Financial Societies (SOFOLES).
Cove Overley joined KidZania in April 2011 as Merchandising General Manager and oversees the global merchandising strategy. Prior to joining KidZania, he was a General Manager and Head of Product Development at RE:Creation Group Asia and also the Director of Product Development at Manley toys LTD.
Gilberto Guido Vázquez
Gilberto Guido has a trajectory of more than 10 years in KidZania. In August 2012 he was designated as Chief Experience Officer in charge of the Ministry of Culture which overviews the areas of Content, Architecture, Art & Theming, Graphic Design, Multimedia and Variable Program.
Gilberto Guido joined KidZania on April 2002 and since then he has been involved in the design and development of each one of the currently open KidZanias around the world. He started in KidZania as junior architect progressing in his career inside of the company up to architectural manager which was his former position in KidZania.
As Manager in the Ministry of Urban Planning Gilberto Guido managed and supervised all related activities of the architecture area collaborating with the rest of the members in the experience team. Gilberto directly managed the development of architectural designs for the national and international projects, ensuring architectural design adherence to the standards of KidZania. Before working in KidZania, Gilberto Guido working as interior design architect in “Grupo MAC” architects, a local architectural firm in Mexico City.
Andrew Darrow has served as Executive Vice President of International Business Development since 2007 directing KidZania's growth strategy, leading its global expansion and overseeing its business affairs. Previously, Darrow served as a senior executive at Interpublic Group's Octagon Worldwide and U.S. television network NBC. He has also held positions as an entertainment attorney, an A&R executive at MCA Records and at Overland Management where he guided the careers of Talking Heads, Eurythmics, the B-52s and the Ramones. He began his career as an agent at ICM. Mr. Darrow holds a Bachelor of Arts from Haverford College and a Juris Doctor from California Western School of Law.
Andrés serves as COO of KidZania, and is a seasoned executive with more than 25 years in the aviation, hospitality and travel industries.
Before joining KidZania, Andrés has been CEO and COO of various international airlines, including Aviacsa, Volaris, Aerolineas Argentinas and the LAN group. Andrés has been involved with the travel and hospitality industry since he was 15, working at his family’s travel agencies, and is also an entrepreneur founding an innovative human-centric, eco-friendly office-cleaning business.
Andrés Fabre is an air transport pilot, holds a Bachelor in Business Administration specialized in Tourism and post graduate courses on Finance.
Hernan Barbieri serves as the Director of Mexico. He was previously the CEO at HSM Mexico and Director of Sales for MTV Latin America. Hernan has also worked for highly recognized companies such as Metro Gas, Nextel, AMEX, and Santander Bank Rio, with positions in commercial and marketing areas. Hernan holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from UCES.
Sixto Uribe serves as Chief Financial Officer for KidZania, as an accountant and lawyer specializing in Tax Law and Activity-Based Costing. Previously he served as Global CFO for Ajegroup Holding, S.A. (Big Cola), where he opened businesses in America, Europe, and Asia, and as a Controller at Mexican Railway Group (a subsidiary of Grupo Mexico). Sixto holds an MBA from ITAM in Mexico City.
Carlos Guerra serves as Director for Human Resources for KidZania. Carlos began his career at Levi Strauss & Co. in Internal Communications and Training. He then worked at 3M in Planning and Organizational Development. For seven years, he worked at Danone Group, in the Beverages Division and Dairy Division, during which he held several positions including: Head of Human Resource Operations, Labor Relations, Security, and Organization Development. Carlos holds an Education degree from Universidad Panamericana in México City.
Al Trevino joined KidZania in February 2013 as Integration Director (Minister of Foreign Affairs) bringing to the brand over 30 years of operations, marketing, administration and development experience in franchise businesses both in the USA and abroad. Most recently, Al served 12 years as Vice President at Sonic Industries, directing their franchised business units in the USA with operations in 45 states and over 3,500 locations. He previously functioned as President and Owner/Operator of his own brand in South Texas. Additionally, he held a key executive leadership role for several years in theme parks such as Reino Aventura –now Six Flags Mexico City–, and also directed other major brands such as Arby’s. Al holds a Business degree from San Antonio College in Texas, besides imparting numerous post graduate courses in various management skills.
